SABPA Annoucement

2018 SABPA Board Election 
 
SABPA Board of Directors (BOD) is the governing body that oversees the activities of SABPA organization. It includes 21 Directors. Each director will serve for a 3 year term. 
In 2018, five (5) seats are open for election and re-election.
Eligibility:
  • Integrity, leadership skills, and teamwork spirit
  • At least on one of SABPA committees for one year
  • Significant contribution and a long-term commitment to SABPA
Timeline:
  • June 18, 2018: Announcement and online nomination starts
  • July 6, 2018: Online nomination closes
  • July 16, 2018: Online voting starts
  • August 10, 2018: Online voting closes
  • August 30, 2018: Announcement of Election outcome
BOD members with 3-year-term ending in 2018:
Hua Gong, Yi Liu, Tao Wu, Jinsong Ni, Guang Chen
Nomination process:
  • Each SABPA member can nominate more than one candidate
  • Nominating member is responsible for ensuring that the candidate meets the above requirements and submits accurate biographic information to the Election Committee
  • To nominate a candidate, download and complete the 2018 SABPA BOD Nomination Form, email the completed form to election@sabpa.org, and copy the candidate so that he/she is aware of the nomination. Please note that the nomination closes on July 6, 2018.
  • A SABPA member who is nominated by three other members will become a candidate for a SABPA Board of Director
  • The Election Committee reserves the right to investigate the qualification of each candidate and disqualify any candidate who submits false information

About SABPA
Sino-American Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Professionals Association (SABPA) is an 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in early 2002 by professionals and scholars from the Chinese community in San Diego. In 2005, we expanded to Orange County and Los Angeles. We invite all scholars, professionals and entrepreneurs of any origin who are working in, engaged in, or interested in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry in Southern California to join us as a member of SABPA.
