SABPA Committee - Education & Career Development
SABPA’s Career Development Committee was founded right after the Association was established in 2002. The goal of the Career Development Committee is to foster professional growth, career improvement and personal development of our members. We are trying our best to help our members improved in the following areas:
• Overcome the language and cultural barrier
• Cope with job transition
• Improve your oral and written communication skills
• Develop and polish your public speaking skills
• Improve networking and negotiation skills
• Enhance your emotional intelligence
• Gain your leadership skills to influence others and impact the organization you belong to
During the past several years, the Career Development Committee, along with Pacific Alliance & Entrepreneurship Committee, has launched several great events including Employment and Career Development Seminar (2004), Making Conversion-Interactive Success Skills Seminar (2005), SABPA Professional Skills Seminar Series (2006 and 2007). The committee has also helped many SABPA members in their job transition and job hunting.
In the future, we will continue organizing seminars and inviting experts, executive coaches, renowned trainers with many years of successful real life experiences to share their knowledge and expertise on these important topics. Each seminar will feature one or more speakers on selected topics in professional and personal development. We look forward to helping you systematically improve on many professional and personal skills that are important to your growth and advancement.
