Research Investigator/Senior Research Investigator in Biologics-Cancer Biology

We are seeking experienced scientists in cancer biology research and biologics (mAb) drug discovery for cancer therapy.

The primary responsibilities are to identify critical receptors, cell surface proteins and secreted proteins for oncology drug development, to initiate and lead preclinical biologics discovery project.  The candidate will lead a group of 2-5 direct and/or indirect reports to understand the biology of the therapeutic target, to develop and validate cell-based assays and to investigate the mechanism of action of the drug candidates in the setting of a fully integrated biotech organization with a focus on delivery of high quality drug candidate.  The applicant is also expected to communicate effectively within project team and company, as well as to external collaborators.

Requirements:

·  PhD in cancer biology, cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacology or molecular biology, with two or more years of post doctoral training in cancer biology research

·  Skillful in dissecting a complex scientific issue into smaller addressable questions, and designing experiments to find the answers and solutions to the questions

Research Investigator/Senior Research Investigator in Biologics-Cancer Immunology

We are seeking experienced scientists in immunology and cancer immunology research and biologics (mAb) drug discovery for cancer therapy.

The primary responsibilities are to identify cell surface receptors, proteins and secreted proteins, ligands, whose activity may be modulated to elicit activation of immune cells such as CD8+ cytotoxic lymphocytes, NK cells and other immune cells attacking cancer. The candidate is expected to initiate and lead preclinical biologics discovery project, and lead a group of 2-5 direct and indirect reports to understand the biology of the therapeutic target, to develop and validate cell-based assays and to investigate the mechanism of action of the drug candidates in the setting of a fully integrated biotech organization with a focus on delivery of high quality drug candidate.  The applicant is also expected to communicate effectively within project team and company, as well as to external collaborators.

Senior Research Investigator in Biologics-Protein Chemistry

We are seeking experienced and energetic individualsin protein chemistry to support our biologics drug discovery for cancer therapy.

The primary responsibilities are to express recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies in mammalian cell lines and hybridoma clones, purify proteins/mAbs to homogeneity from conditioned medium or cell lysate, and perform analysis for the final purified product. The scientist is expected to be well-organized, detail-oriented, meeting pre-planned timeline for delivery of purified proteins and mAbs. The candidate will lead and work with a research associate together to accomplish tasks with high standard of quality. The candidate is also expected to communicate effectively with project teams and evaluated new technologies for consistent improvement. An applicant with extensive mAb experience and protein analytical skill will be considered for higher position.

Requirements:

·         PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology or biology, with two or more years experience working with protein purification and protein analyses

·         Skillful in protein chemistry problem-solving

·         Expertise in protein and mAb affinity purification, column fractionation, endotoxin control and removal, protein analytical techniques including Western blot, concentration, endotoxin level, HPLC

Research Investigator in Biologics-mAb Generation

We are seeking experienced scientist in monoclonal antibody generation to support biological drug discovery effort for the treatment of cancer.

The primary job functions are to generate mAbs by hybridoma fusion and cloning, to screen and identify mAbs binding to targetprotein by ELISA assay, and to analyze mAb binding activity by FACS. In addition, applicants with mAb phage display experience have a significant plus for higher position. The candidate is expected to present in the company internal meetings as well as to the external collaborators

Requirements:

·         PhD or MS in biology, cell biology or immunology, with two or more years of post-graduate training experience in antibody technology and antibody generation

·         Qualified to work with small animals, such as mouse, rat and rabbit for immunization procedure, capable of anatomic autopsy to remove spleen, lymph node for hybridoma fusion

·         Experienced in hybridoma cloning, cell culture, antibody screening and analyses

·         Experience with medium to high through put ELISA, and liquid handling ELISA system is highly appreciated

·         Skillful in computer analytical and presentation software such as Excel, Powerpoint, and effective in oral communication

·         For the consideration for higher level position, knowledge in molecular biology and phage display technology are required

The primary responsibility is to support biologics research projects, which includes designing and executing strategies for antibody humanization, engineering, epitope-mapping and/or 3D structure analyses. The candidate will be involved in performing binding assays such as ELISA, FACS and BiaCore SPR technology to characterize mAb activity.  The candidate will lead a group of 2-5 direct and/or indirect reports to work with conscious timeline, meeting the project teams’ needs.  The applicant is also expected to communicate effectively within project team and company, as well as to external collaborators.  

 Requirements:

·         PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry or immunology with two or more years working in antibody engineering field

We are seeking research investigator in the Oncology Biology group to support drug discovery efforts for the treatment of cancer.

The primary responsibilities are to design and execute experiments to understand the biology of the therapeutic target, develop and validate cell-based assays and investigate the mechanism of action of the drug candidates.  This candidate is expected to present and communicate internally and to collaborators. This candidate will also be supervising a group of 2-5 research scientists.

Basic Qualifications

·        A Ph.D degree in Cell Biology, Molecular or Biochemistry in oncology related field with 0-5 yearsexperience in drug discovery

·        Experience in cell based assay development in oncology

·        Excellent analytical and organizational skills

·        Demonstration of critical thinking skills as applied to experimental design and data evaluation

·        Good oral and written communications skills in English

Preferred Qualifications
