Job Summary
The Associate Director (Biology) will maintain and update HUYABIO target of interest list for in-license, present target review to China teams regularly based on the comprehensive understanding of drug discovery trend and global competitive landscape. Review drug discovery projects originated from China. Actively participate in compound meetings preparation and data summary. Evaluate, identify in-licensing candidates. Support the development of HUYABIO in-licensed programs as needed. The position will report into HUYABIO’s Vice President of Research, Data Management.
This is an office-based position that works in a cross-functional and dynamic environment. Clear, timely, professional, and effective communication with all HUYABIO functional areas and global office sites is essential.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Search, assess and recommend projects to in-license and develop for ex-China market · Initial review and evaluation of compounds upon entry into database · Recommend compounds for initial follow-up in China · As a member of the database team, perform database management tasks
· Maintain communication with investigators and provide timely written and oral feedback · Liaison with visiting consultants, providing them the data required by them for evaluation · Provide in-house search and analysis on clinical landscape and market analysis
· Manage due diligence activities, coordinating with the San Diego and the China teams. Perform both on site due diligence and pre-meetings. · Coordinate DD team members for data preparations · Communication with PI to set up schedule and dd materials preparation (in person pre-meetings if possible) · Finalize DD materials for HUYABIO database submission and electronic binders
Job Qualifications and Requirements
The position is full‐time, and the incumbent must be able to commute to HUYABIO’s Del Mar, California office at least part-time each week.
