Job Description: The Research Associate (Primary Cell / Product Group) plays a role in the fast-paced and dynamic manufacture and R&D team. She/he will support the lead scientists to execute the projects in product generation, CRO services and R&D programs in the Primary Cell / Product group, including primary cell isolation, and various assays using primary cells.  The individual will interact with other internal and external departments for project development.

Major Roles and Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of the lead scientists in Primary Cell / Product groups, including product generation & QC, CRO services and R&D projects

• Isolate and characterize primary cells from animal and human tissue specimens
• Assist with and perform other experiments as required. Conduct routine lab duties as assigned
• Keep good data recording (with all the experimental details, using the required formats)

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology or closely related fields
• Prior experience with cell-based assays and FACS based immunology assays is highly desired
• Willing and able to work with rodents as experimental animals is a plus
• Excellent attention to details with proven communication and problem solving skills
• Superior time and project-management skills; commitment to anticipating and meeting deadlines
• Flexibility and ability to respond to changing priorities and project directions
• Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime is a plus
