Margie is known worldwide for being a compelling motivational speaker, an accomplished management consultant and trainer, a best-selling author, and an entrepreneur. In 1983, she was named Speaker of the Year by New Woman magazine and American Express. Margie is co-author of The One Minute Manager Gets Fit and Working Well – Managing for Health and High Performance. She is Professor of Communication at Grand Canyon University and a faculty member of the University of San Diego School of Business Administration.
Well-versed in a variety of topics, Dr. Blanchard often speaks on leadership, empowerment, team building, customer service, managing change, and life planning. As Co-Founders of The Ken Blanchard Companies®, Margie and Ken Blanchard have developed the organization into one of the premier management consulting and training companies in North America. Margie and Ken were jointly awarded the Entrepreneurs of the Year award from Cornell University in 1991. Margie served as president of the company from 1987–1997, leading its rapid growth and success.
Margie now heads the firm’s unique Office of the Future—a think tank charged with shaping the future of both the training industry and the company. Dr. Blanchard received her bachelor and master degrees from Cornell University and her doctorate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
