This is a premier annual gathering event and platform for entrepreneurs, scientists, industry executives, investors and policy makers in the life sciences industry in Southern California and across the Pacific. The event main topics include:

  • The Clinical diagnostics, Bioanalytical Instruments and Pharmaceutical Markets in China are estimated to be growing at double digit rates and in some markets, as high as 30% each year. And they are poised to grow explosively in the next 5 - 10 years. How can local companies take advantage of such business environments as well as develop effective export and operating strategy to become market leaders?
  • As manufacturing and R & D of medical and biotech products increasingly moves to China, Orange County companies share success stories and lessons learned in going through such transitions and how this practice has helped the companies to gain competitive advantages in the market they serve.

The clinical diagnostics market is estimated to be growing at 30% each year, and is poised to grow explosively in the next 5 years. Globalization in drug discovery will be the future trend in the next 5 years to facilitate and reduce the cost for drug development. The panel will share successes and failures in marketing, operation strategies and technology products adopted by new and established local companies operating in both Southern California and China. IP issues in China will be discussed.
