Jonathan Lim, M.D., is a Life Sciences entrepreneur, investor, and executive with passion and commitment to founding, funding, and leading companies driven by the mission of bringing benefit to patients with unmet medical needs. He has helped raise ~$1 billion in funding, with 15 years of experience as Founding Chairman and/or CEO of four biotech companies whose teams have provided benefit to patients worldwide in multiple therapeutic areas, including achieving both drug and medical device approvals from the U.S. FDA and other global regulatory agencies, and generating significant value creation for stockholders: (1) Halozyme (NASDAQ: HALO) went public in 2004, raised ~$300 million from 2003 to 2010, and subsequently reached a multi-billion dollar peak market cap; (2) Eclipse was launched in 2011, then acquired just 18 months from inception in 2012 by Bionomics Ltd. (ASX: BNO) for a multiple of invested capital; (3) Ignyta (NASDAQ: RXDX) was launched in 2011, went public in 2013, exceeded $1 billion market cap in 2017, then was acquired by Roche (SIX: RO, ROG; OTCQX: RHHBY) for a total transaction value of US$1.7 billion ($2 billion gross with Ignyta’s cash); and (4) Bonti was launched in 2015 and has a lead molecule in Phase 2 development.
