WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

Sorrento Therapeutics (“Sorrento”) is seeking an experienced team member with extensive expertise in molecular and cellular immunology to join our team.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

We are currently seeking motivated team members with extensive expertise in molecular and cellular immunology for next generation of CAR-T/DAR-T technology and product research and development. In addition to these areas of expertise ideal candidates will have understanding of vector design, molecular cloning, CAR-T generation, and in vitro and in vivo functional assays of engineering T cells.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  The successful candidate will be expected to design and optimize experiments, coordinate with team members, and direct report to execute program workflows, organize and analyze results, determine appropriate follow-up experiments. 
  •  The candidate will be expected to maintain program progress according to established timelines and adjust research focus as necessary to ensure progress is on-track.
  •  The selected candidate will focus on the development of gene-editing based allogeneic product for engineered T cell immunotherapies include evaluating gene modification efficiency and their impact on potency of developed cell product.
  •  Aseptic isolation and culture of primary T cells, activation, transfection, expansion of T cells.
  •  Functional assays of T cells, cell phenotyping by FACS and designing of in vivo assays. 
  •  Excellent writing and communication skills with specific abilities to write SOP and technical reports.  

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  •  For Research Associate, Bachelor's Degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology or related disciplines with minimum 1 year relevant experience or master's degree with 0-2 years relevant experience.
  •  For Scientist, PhD degree in Biochemistry, cellular biology, immunology, or a related field with 1- 3 years of related experience or master’s degree with more than 5 years related experience.
  •  Experienced with aseptic cell culture, characterization, and cell line generation.
  •  Experienced with molecular biology techniques and vector construction.
  •  Expertise in multicolor flow cytometry.
  •  Strong organizational and record keeping skills.
