NEWOPP Biopharmaceuticals is focused on the discovery and development of new therapeutics for the treatment of cancer and other diseases. We are seeking a motivated biological scientist to join our drug discovery team. This position will contribute to our discovery efforts, including assay development, lead identification and optimization and target validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out in vitro biochemical and cellular assays to screen, test and characterize small molecules to drive medicinal chemistry programs;
- Conduct experiments to validate targets with the potential to translate into innovative cancer therapies;
- Perform data collection, analysis, documentation, and interpretation;
Experience & Education qualification requirement
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related Biological Science area
- >2 years of working experience in an academic or industry setting preferred but not required
- Hands-on experience in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology (molecular cloning, mammalian cell culture, western blot, ELISA, biochemical or biophysical assays)
- Ability to initiate and plan daily experiments efficiently and generate high quality data
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint and DNA and protein analysis software
- Team player with ability to work independently
