Tanvex Biopharma is a biologic pharmaceutical product development and manufacturing organization aiming to provide high quality, value added capabilities to accelerate the introduction of biologic therapeutics to the global market. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Scientist in Cell Culture Process Development at our location in San Diego, CA. Job Summary: The Senior Scientist will act as a technical lead in manufacturing process optimization, process characterization/validation and supporting BLA filling. The candidate should have all aspects of fermentation process development for clinical and commercial production by applying advanced engineering and scientific principles in process definition, process optimization, scale-up, technology transfer, supporting GMP manufacturing, process characterization and process validation for biologics. The Senior Scientist is responsible for tutoring and managing scientist/research associates and advising management in long range company planning. Candidate must have extensive working experience in the fermentation engineering, such as media and feed strategy development, fermenter configuration, process control and programming software interface, process optimization, scale-up, metabolite analysis and must also demonstrate ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness in all experimentation. Candidate must possess strong writing skills for technical documentation and the ability to interface effectively with other departments. Requires a degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or related scientific disciplines, BS with 15 years’ experience, MS with 12 years’ experience, or PhD with 3 years’ minimum industrial experience in fermentation process development within a pharmaceutical process development group. Requires leadership experience managing scientists/research associates. | |
