We are currently seeking a qualified team-oriented scientist with a proven track record in immune-oncology research and drug discovery to join the fast-growing Translation Medicine team in San Diego to conduct translational research and to develop biomarker assays in supporting clinical development.

Location: San Diego, California

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, manage & execute laboratory research and testing of patient specimens ensuring quality standards are met in laboratory testing
  • Develop and advance platform technologies to support exploratory initiatives
  • Independently analyze data, prepare reports, present to internal and external teams, and making recommendations to more senior scientific staff
  • Plan and track multiple projects simultaneously, pro-actively complete assigned tasks
  • In a matrix environment, train and assist new staff on scientific concepts, technical details, and operational procedures.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Ph.D. degree with at least 2-year experience in immuno-oncology or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstration of high bench productivity and problem-solving skills, as well as a collaborative, collegial approach to scientific inquiry is essential.
  • High degree of ownership and accountability, ability to quickly adapt to changing projects and priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Outstanding communication skills and able to present data and project updates in interdepartmental meeting
  • Having expertise in flowcytometry, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry, as well as the related software including FlowJo, PRISM, Excel, etc
  • CRO experience, Knowledge of CLIA/GCLP practices is a plus
