We are currently seeking for a full-time Research Associate to join the fast-growing Translational Medicine team in San Diego. The qualified candidate should have expertise in cell biology and immune oncology. The primary role of this position is to support biomarker studies.

Location: San Diego, California

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Routine laboratory operation and responsibility including cell line maintenance, cryogenic stock preparation, and inventory management for shared reagents and consumables
  • Perform flow cytometry, immunological and biochemical assays, such as ELISA, immunofluorescence/ immunohistochemistry staining, etc. for the biomarker assay development and testing
  • Handle human biological specimens
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentations following company policies and ISO requirements
  • Deliver and communicate results to project teams, provide intellectual input and contribute to decision making

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree with 1-5 years of experience in the immuno-oncology field
  • Demonstration of problem-solving skills, as well as a collaborative, collegial approach to scientific inquiry is essential
  • Hands-on experience in flowcytometry, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry
  • Able to maintain a good laboratory record
  • Highly organized and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in the use of standard software including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. and familiar with the data analysis software including FlowJo, PRISM, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral/written communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of CLIA/GCLP practices is a plus
