JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Sales and Marketing Assistant is responsible for communicating with customers; scheduling meetings; collecting customer information; entering data required for sales quotes, deliveries and invoices; and promptly responds to customer inquiries, among other project-based work. May also train and supervise lower-level clerical staff.

The Sales and Marketing Assistant reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing or Senior Manager, Sales & Marketing

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Training
The ideal candidate will be experienced in a wide range of administrative and sales related tasks and will work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of a sales role with administrative tasks. The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.

Must possess 2-year Associate or 4-year college degree from a nationally accredited US institution
Assist in identifying, developing, and managing relationships with new customers, as well as nurturing  relationships with current customers 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to speak with potential and existing customers via phone, email, tradeshows, trainings, or other events
Assessment techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating and reporting sales
Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed
Willingness to learn and be adaptable to varying situations and requirements
Attention to detail is a must
Must be exceedingly well-organized


Experience
Demonstrated experience working with minimal supervision or direction. Experience as a Sales Assistant/Coordinator, and prior knowledge of the workings of a manufacturing company is a plus. Expertise in numerous software programs, such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet research.
