Founded in 1955, Gingi-Pak has emerged as an industry leader in soft tissue management product manufacturing. In the late 1960s, it pioneered the development of gingival retraction cords in response to the need for superior soft tissue management during common dental procedures. In 2017, the company was wholly acquired by Pac-Dent, Inc., a powerhouse in the endodontic, preventive, restorative, and infection control segments of the dental industry. Scope
- Investigate innovative materials and technology and their potential applications in dental materials
- Develop and improve new and existing product formulations
- Create, qualify, and validate product validation, performance, stability, and other assay test methods
- Select, test, and evaluate raw materials
- Assist in the design of laboratory experiments, techniques, and protocols
- Research new opportunities in the dental market and conduct ROI studies
Education
- Doctoral degree in chemistry, polymer science, material science, or a related field
Skills and Experience
- Considerable knowledge and experience in chemical analysis, chemical synthesis, cost vs performance analysis, production scaling, and GLP standards
- Prior experience with 21CFR800 medical devices and 510k regulatory pathway is a MAJOR plus
- Exceptional ability in project management and multitasking
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision from senior management
