2. Announcement for the newly established SABPA Entrepreneurship and Partnering Committee (EPC)

We are excited to introduce the newly established SABPA Entrepreneurship and Partnering Committee (EPC), launching in June 2023. The EPC is a culmination of the previous Bio-Partnering, Entrepreneur Symposium, and Entrepreneur Club, bringing together a consolidated platform for professionals and companies in the biotech industry to make meaningful connections.

The mission of the EPC includes three key objectives:

  1. Empowering entrepreneurs: We aim to support aspiring entrepreneurs by providing them with valuable networking opportunities and knowledge-sharing resources.

  2. Nurturing careers: We strive to introduce junior professionals and scientists to the exciting field of the biotech industry and present them with a range of new career prospects.

  3. Enabling collaborations: Our committee endeavors to facilitate connections between scientists, business leaders, and investors, fostering meaningful partnerships.

The EPC curates two types of events: the Annual Forum and the Monthly Salon.

The Annual Forum features industry experts as guest speakers on specific topics, followed by panel discussions. We envision this event to be an interactive platform for participants to gain insights and network with industry leaders.

The Monthly Salon serves as a networking opportunity for SABPA members. Departing from traditional seminar formats, the EPC Salon fosters informal discussions and exchanges on various topics. It is an ideal setting to forge new connections, explore career opportunities, and generate fresh ideas. It will be held on the first Thursday of every month.

The SABPA EPC events cover a broad spectrum of topics related to entrepreneurship and business development. These may include launching biotech ventures, funding, exit strategies, challenges, and solutions. We also intend to cover subjects such as negotiating term sheets, asset valuation, partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

We have created a dedicated SABPA EPC webpage. Please Visit to find out the latest event information and register. If you are interested in becoming a speaker, suggesting a speaker, or proposing specific topics for future events, please submit your proposals using this Link.

We look forward to your active participation in the SABPA EPC events, and the opportunity to connect, learn, and grow together as a community.
